Toes

When William was about 5 months old he discovered his toes. He would reach for them and play with them, pulling his feet close to his chest. Finally, on 24 February 2008, he managed to get them into his mouth! We were at a party and I was sat watching him while he sat in his car seat cooing and playing with his feet. Slowly his toes reached his mouth and luckily I can my camera to hand to catch this momentous event!!

Ever since, he has been sucking his toes (usually the big toe on the left foot), especially when he is in the car seat or the push chair and is bored. It amuses passer-bys! Sometimes while he is eating so you find food between his toes. I totally encourage it, as it is easier to wean him off his toes than his thumbs! Well if I was able to, I'd eat his toes too, they look yummy!!
