Walker

The next day after William was able to roll over several times in a row, Poh Poh went out and bought him a walker. This is to save his skull, should it bang on the hard marble floor if he rolls off the playmat.

Initially, the walker was set as a rocker, so William just sat there and he could rock himself when he moves. After a couple of days getting used to sitting in it, Babu decided to set him free by converting it into a walker. Everytime he kicked the floor he was able to move. He started off moving slowly, but after a few days he was able to move more and slowly wandered around the sitting room. He only moved backwards or sideways.

We didn't get a walker handed down from William's cousins as my sister had given theirs away to a friend. I didn't think it was necessary to buy one just for a couple of months, but it has been really useful and William loves his freedom. It also doubles as a "highchair"... well not very high, but he sits in it immobilised when he has his meals.
