Baby Massage

When William was about 6 weeks old, I took him for a baby massage course where the mummies were taught how to massage their babies for bonding and relieving minor ailments (e.g. constipation and wind). Ros found this class which was held in a little studio in Teddington.

We went there with Ros and Madeleine and Marianela and Jay. There were 3 other mummies with their babies there. It was great though to be able to strip William down (but also being very wary of pee!) and inspect and stroke his whole body. What lovely baby chubbiness, not normally seen as at home it was quite cold so it was in and out of clothes very quickly or have a blanket over undressed areas.

The class was enjoyable but really chaotic as it was led by babies! If it's not one then it's another crying or peeing or feeding. I think the babies did enjoy the classes. William seemed happy enough except when he was hungry (unfortunately the timing clashed with his 11 am feed and nap) and was usually asleep in the car on the way back!

Here he is at the end of one classes, still undressed with Jay (top) and Madeleine (right).
