Tuesday's Baby Group

When William was about 1 month old, we started going to a Mother and Baby group on Tuesday afternoons, from 1 pm. The other mothers were the ladies which I met at the antenatal classes run by Kingston Hospital. Thanks to Ros who put us all in touch just before William was born, the group started off with Marianela and Jay (3 Sept), Cici and Loic (5 Sept), myself and William (12 Sept), Ros and Madeleine (19 Sept) and Tamasin and Joshua (5 Oct). Eventually we were joined by Alex and Emily (3 Oct), Nimisha and Anya (13 Sept), Michaela and Benjamin and Liz and Emma (4 Oct). Not bad for a class of around 14 ladies, though Nimisha and I met at the hospital antenatal ward.

We meet in Cafe Au Play in Kingston from 1 pm, and sometimes we leave when they are sweeping the floor and tidying up for closing, around 5 pm! We really enjoy going to these get togethers where Mummies can compare notes and get tips and support on bringing up baby. Though the babies haven't a clue that they have little playmates yet. Also it encourages us to get out of the house and have a social life. And I'm sure that these people will be our good friends for life!
